Changes as of 3/15/20
APA Notice to Families 3/15/2020
Greetings to our wonderful Asheville Pediatrics Families. Safety is the number one priority for us and we are implementing the following changes during this period of the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to see sick patients more efficiently and to minimize exposure to patients during routine well child visits or non-sick urgent visits, we will use separate entrances, staff, exam rooms and exits.
- Infants, children, and adolescents who are sick (fever, cough, congestion, GI complaints, etc) will continue to enter through our main entrance and check-in at the front desk.
- Patients being seen for well child care or non-sick urgent care (injury, burn, concussion, mental health, etc) will check-in via the employee entrance at the large white tent. Please notify us of your arrival by driving up to white tent, the rest of the check-in will occur via your smartphone from your vehicle. After receiving a text you may enter the employee entrance adjacent to the tent and be escorted directly to an exam room. This will minimize or eliminate any potential contact with people who might be contagious.
- These measures will promote safe routine and non-sick care. However, we understand if you choose to cancel or reschedule appointments. We ask that you call us if you decide to cancel, so that we can reassign your appointment time to another patient.
Thank you for your understanding and your trust in us, as we continue to be privileged to care for your children.
